Where will my donation go?
Because we are all volunteers, the full amount of your donation goes directly into helping local children. Donations are used to create Buddy Bags! Buddy Bags are child-friendly sacks of food delivered to local schools and distributed to children to help offset hunger on the weekends. All of our funding goes to helping children in Northwest Indiana fight food-insecurity and hunger.
Currently, we are serving schools in portions of Lake and Porter Counties. Your donations directly impact local children in these schools:
- Lake County: Winfield Elementary, Jerry Ross Elementary, Taft Middle, Homer Iddings Elementary, Meister Elementary, Virgil I Bailey Elementary, Henry S Evans and Kidzone Early Learning Center.
- Porter County: Liberty Elementary, Liberty Intermediate, Westchester Intermediate, Brummitt Elementary, Jackson Elementary, Bailey Elementary, Yost Elementary, Discovery Charter, Hebron Elementary, Hebron Middle, Porter Lakes Elementary, Boone Grove Elementary, Boone Grove Middle & Boone Grove High.

Currently, we also have an Empower Forward Program, in which we are helping area schools to create their own Buddy Bag systems so that more students can receive assistance.
